Rainier Satellite is looking into the future and with that comes new technology. Our D9865 receivers are designed to adapt without purchase of new equipment.

A satellite delivered firmware upgrade will soon be available that will allow H265, HEVC, with symbol rates up to 45000 for your D9865. When the time comes Rainier will contact its current subscribers about getting a satellite delivered firmware upgrade for their receiver. We will require a current subscription to channels using or upgrading to the new codec mode to participate in this update.

Attention Rainier Satellite Variety Xtra package subscribers. Your D9865 receiver is now authorized at the 103 west satellite. Please use this location to watch these channels from now on. The old location at 125 west will be deauthorized soon.
