Sony Movies & Sony Cine. Satellite Change to SES-3 103 West

In the next couple weeks Rainier Satellite will begin the transition for the Sony Movies group channels in our Variety Xtra subscriber pak. You will need to retune your D9865 to the following to continue to watch these channels. After August 20th the current 125 west location will go dark for Variety Xtra subscribers.

Once your IRD takes a trip you will be authorized for the new location.

Sony Movies & Sony Cine will only be available to Variety Xtra subscribers at this new location. Legacy Variety subscribers will no longer receive these channels in the Variety package. If you wish to retain these channels please contact Rainier Satellite at 509-486-4137 by July 19th 2021 to upgrade your service to Variety Xtra. After July 20th Variety pak’s service at 125 west will be deauthorized.

Package Upgrade Required

In the next couple month’s Sony Movies and Cine Sony will be moving to the 103 west satellite. At that time Variety package subscribers will become deauthorized from the current 125 west satellite home of Sony. To retain these channels at the new 103 west location an upgrade to our Variety Xtra package will be required. This is due to increased costs for 2021. Variety Xtra gives you the BEST BANG FOR THE BUCK! It offers all the channels Variety offers plus the Sony channels and the Toronto 4+. Current Variety Xtra subscribers don’t need to do anything but retune your 9865. You will be automatically authorized at the new 103 west location.

Two New Networks Coming July 1st to Rainier Satellite

Rainier Satellite is pleased to announce two new channels are coming to our c band platform. They will be rolling out July 1st on the 103 west satellite.

True Real will serve women ages 25-54 and their strong interest in can’t-stop-watching, unscripted drama that’s surprising and true. True Real will feature such off-network shows as “Storage Wars,” “Married at First Sight,” “Hoarders,” “Little Women: LA” and more.

Defy TV will reach men ages 25-54, celebrating the fascinating people living life to the fullest by being who they want to be and doing what they want to do. Its programming will include off-network series such as “Pawn Stars,” “Forged in Fire,” “American Pickers,” “The Curse of Oak Island” and more.

These new channels are part of EW Scripps the parent company of Katz Networks that now provides you with Grit, Laff, Court TV, Court Mystery and Bounce. Rainier Satellite is pleased to be able to add these to our growing channel lineup.
