2013 – 2018 Rainier Continues to grow and gets Better and Better!
Rainier Satellite’s humble beginning began in 2013 with a big idea, to bring non compressed HDTV to the consumer. Today it’s a reality.
A overview from history: In 2013 and 2014 Rainier put in countless hours of R&D testing equipment and signals that could be used for this concept and got some of the best out there. There were ups and downs during this period but through determination, patience and perseverance Rainier overcame these rough start up times.
When we felt our products were ready for the public unlike others companies do, Rainier Satellite LLC opened is doors to the public on May 15th 2015 with the sales of the well tested bug free D9865H receiver and a small programming package. Many naysayers back then thought we would never go anywhere, but we’ve proved them wrong again and again with continued success. At start up the Lifeline Basic package launched our Full Arc subscription service with 3 channels, NFL Network, Mav TV and Z Living all in Pure HD. To this day we appreciate the way these networks worked with us during the R&D phase and allowed us access to their signals to make Rainier’s idea’s reality.
Rainier slow but surely continued to grow in the second half of 2015 and 2016 with the additional release of more high quality products including our U.S. made 9 foot dish, the AP-600 dish mover and more and more Cable TV content such as Bloomberg, Newsmax., The Blaze and Pivot.
After the turbulent year in the satellite industry of 2016 with the demise of the 4DTV H2H service many 4DTV folk were left as orphans not knowing where to turn for TV content. Many migrated to Rainier but not all. Some jumped over to the high priced cable or mini dish systems just to find out it’s not what they thought it would be with the high prices, hidden fees, early termination fees, poor picture quality and outages. Others tried the free TV route after being talked into a low price low quality FTA only gear just to find out about the buggyness of those boxes. They also learned of the unreliability of the here today gone tomorrow signals that many were lied to about by those unscrupulous FTA dealers that use this lie to make sales.
Many that left the nest have now rethought these bad decisions and contacted Rainier Satellite to purchase our equipment and became Rainier Satellite subscribers. Why? Because Rainier Satellite can provide them with what they were accustomed to with the 4DTV, quality equipment and reliable quality Cable TV programming that’s always there.
2017 was a banner year for Rainier. We showed the public C band can have the great channels again. We expanded our channel lineup with big name Cable TV content. Playboy TV, Game Show Network, Ovation TV, WGN and WGN Sports were launched. These are channels that are on just about every cable system in the USA. Also big news in 2017 was the release of the New Cisco / Rainier D9865D satellite delivered firmware expandable HD satellite receiver at $500.00 off MSRP.
What does 2018 have in store? More great channels! In the first quarter of 2018 Rainier will continue launching more content with the rollout of a big name Eastern Sports network in Ultimate HD that has been gone for more than 17 years from c band satellite. Many have asked us about this network, and through hard work at Rainier now it is becoming a reality as launch draws near.
But that’s not all. Additional Superstation’s and Diginet’s will be joining the Rainier family in 2018, and not to be forgotten more big name Cable TV networks will continue to get on board in 2018.
If you’re not on board with Rainier yet, it’s about time you get on board. Don’t be left out of all the excitement and content offerings Rainer has today and will continue to bring to your backyard dish. Only Rainer can provide these for you on C band.

Diginets to begin Encrypting in 2018
Beginning in 2018 many of the Diginet networks will begin scrambling of their signals. The expansion to cable of many of these networks is the reason for this. Unfortunately these make up many of the channels that low cost FTA only receivers rely on for content. Rainier has learned of this and wish to continue to provide many for our subscribers, We’re in the process of getting carriage agreements with these networks. They will be added to our growing channel package lineups as acquired. What this means in short to the FTA community is once they encrypt Rainier will be able to continue providing them to our subscribers using our D9865 receivers with its multiple decryption options. Although if your receiving them with a FTA only receiver they no longer will be available. The first offerings will be added to our new Basic Blue pack lineup soon.
If you looking at getting a new receiver this is more the reason to look at Rainier’s. Our NEW D9865D receiver will be receiving these signals and more well into the future. Your current or future low cost FTA receiver will not be able to do this.
Also in the News… Rainier is getting ready to announce our agreement and launch with a major sports network that has been gone from C band for 17 years. Many subscribed to this network in the past through Satellite Sports Networks. Rainier is pleased about this new relationship as we continue to grow. more information coming soon…

Tired of FTA Boxes that don’t work right? Throwing money away time after time?
Are you one of the FTA box users that seem to get a receiver that never works right on all or some channels no matter what you do?
Does your box exhibit these symptoms? Video stuttering , lockup , or freeze? Audio missing, or out of sync (lipsync)? Channel refuse to scan in? Box runs hot or reboots? Box dies prematurely and dealer offers little or no help? Tried updating firmware and it don’t update or bricks the box.
Does your dealer promise that these problems will be rectified in the next firmware release? Does the next firmware release cause same or new problems? Does your dealer announce there will be no more updates and your now stuck with that problematic box?
Does your dealer come out with a new model and promise the new model will fix all previous problems with his last model and do so much more, but never does?
Have you lived through all this time and time again? Are you tired of it?
If so then Rainier can provide the solution. Our Cisco D9865 model receiver does not have any of these problem that all other FTA boxes exhibit.
Let me tell you, I like everyone else have been through the problematic FTA merry go round for years just like you reading this now and was disgusted with it all. Once I got the Cisco D9865 these problems stopped. It just worked and worked well! I have been using the Cisco for well over 2 years now and very satisfied. The Cisco also offers the added benefit of Subscription C band Master TV that no FTA box can offer. More on the Cisco later.
So why does this happen with typical FTA boxes A-Z?
All the FTA boxes the FTA dealers sell are originally intended for use in a foreign country. They are not designed for North America’s TV signals and standards no matter what they may tell you. Your typical FTA dealer/seller looks for a product that will meet his needs and clients price range. One big restriction the FTA dealer faces is cost. He knows his clients will not spend the money to do it right. So he must settle. (This is where the problem begins) FTA dealers are small garage based businesses that dont have the money to invest in a ground up product built specifically for the North American Market to his specifications. So the FTA dealer/seller decides on this or that foreign pre made box depending on what will seem to work for him. He then brings it to market and begins sales. After a while his clients complain that this isn’t working right or that isn’t right. So he contacts the manufacturer or has someone write patches to the firmware to try to solve the issues. In the meantime it usually screws up the previous code and a new problem arises. So its back to trying to fix that problem and many times still trying to fix the original problem. Once again he releases an update and the scenario keeps repeating itself. After the dealer/seller exhausts all his resources and the manufacturer / coder says it cannot be fixed no matter what, he drops support for the box. And you the consumer is left out in the cold.
After support is dropped the dealer /seller starts this game over again looking for another FTA box to fill the sales void. He still has the financial restraints to work with so the scenario repeats itself once again and the consumer loses again. Round and round the cycle goes.
Now back to the Cisco D9865. Why is it different? One of the things many overlook is that the Cisco D9865 is designed for the North American TV Market. It uses the same engine that is used in the commercial receivers/decoders used in your typical Cable and Satellite headend to deliver those services. It’s firmware has already been designed to work right and must no matter what it receives. Any future updates are done automatically over the satellite, so you don’t risk the chance of bricking the receiver with USB or internet update. Cost factor (the failure of typical FTA boxes) was not an issue when it was done so it is done right. But there is a tradeoff – it costs more than your typical FTA receiver upfront. Quality does not come free as many may keep believing. You need to ask yourself this question? Do I want to keep playing this FTA low price game buying your typical $100-$400 FTA receiver over and over just to replace it in 6 months to a year? OR Do I want to spend a little more once and be done with this merry go round once and for all? If you add up what you spent on many FTA bug-ridden receivers over a few years you can very easily own the Cisco D9865 and have change left over. Its your money how do you choose to spend it?
Short on cash? You can pay it off over time with our financing through Paypal Credit.
I hope this clears up what really happens behind the scenes and why that typical FTA box keeps giving you fits.
If your ready to upgrade and finally be happy, get the Cisco D9865 and sit back and enjoy the TV you want to watch for a change without frustration.
